CR48 Screen Hinge MacGuyver'd fix!

Recently, i've noticed a problem on my CR48. It would no longer close fully and would bounce around, still open a half an inch every time I held it. So, my first instinct would to open it up and see what's up!

When I got to the screen hinge piece, I noticed that the 3 screw holes holding the hinge on each side was cracked as shown below:

I grabbed my crazy glue and started squirting it everywhere. Next, I got a paperclip and placed it into the 2 holes not filled by screws and clipped them. Then, after realizing the hinge was actually physically bending, I put 2 cut up post its on either side of the hinge metal bar. Putting it back together, I was very happy with the difference!

The side that wasn't bending (No post it needed) However, it is extremely glossy from all the crazy glue.

The post it, wedged perfectly in the side, is only needed for the outer side. 

Then it is simply pushed down so the cover can go over it. 

My tools (Plus crazy glue!!). The Great Gatsby was used to pass the time, since I let the glue dry for quite a while.

The difference between American and European Fanta

On my trip to Italy, I realized the fanta (still made by the CokaCola company) tasted MUCH better than the American version. Since no one believed me, I vowed to prove it when I returned. So I took the product information label off a bottle of Fanta to see how different the SAME drink may be, when it is produced in different countries. Here's what I found.

Italian Version:
Senza aggiunta di conservanti = No preservatives
Senza coloranti = No dyes
Aromi naturali = Natural flavors (This is the only one that they have in common!)
di aranciata al 12% di succo di arancia si è preparato con il SUCCO di ARANCE= 12% of orange juice to orange juice is made ​​with orange juice. (What that means is beyond me.)

Bevanda Analcolica AL SUCCO DI ÁRANCIA.

Ingredienti: aqua. succo di arancia. anidride carbonica. acidificante acido citrico, aromi naturali. stabilizzante gomma d'acacia. antiossidante acido ascorbico. Conservare in luogo fresco e asciutto, pulito e senza odori, al riparo da luce solare e da fonti di calore."

"Non-alcoholic Orange juice." I really enjoy that sentence.

What's green is not found in the American version.

Ingredients: 

Water. orange juice. carbon dioxide.acidifier citric acid, natural flavors. stabilizing gum acacia. antioxidant ascorbic acid."

Store in a cool, dry, clean and odor-free, away from sunlight and heat sources.

Carbonated Water, High fructose corn syrup, citric acid, sodium benzoate (To protect taste (AKA PRESERVATIVES), Natural flavors, Modified food starch, Sodium phosphates, glycerol ester of rosin, yellow 6, brominated vegitable oil, red 40.

"Low Sodium"

Per 100 ml (Did some math here)
Fat: 0g

Sodium: 16.4mg

Total Carbs: 13.1g

Sugar: 13.1g

Protein: 0g.

So to sum up the Nutritional Facts: 

The Italian version has less Sodium, Sugar and Carbs.

So to sum up the ingredients: 

Look up. I think it's clear. 

So to sum up the taste:

There is no comparison to the taste of the Italian version of Fanta.

I was originally going to make a guide on Mac OS X on a CR48......but umm. To be honest, I have NO clue how I got a successful install......

I will however post as many tips and aids to anyone interested!

But it's not all bad! I origionally had Snow Leopard up and running (with the only issues to deal with being audio and graphics speed)

But I had to touch it and install the combo update..... So here I sit.
