Kid Selling White iPhone Kits Better Not Be In Trouble

A Queens boy got "connections" with Foxconn and started distributing white iPhone kits, not that I would ever buy one - I prefer the black model, and now he may be in a bit of trouble for doing so.

No word of charges but I sure hope this teaches Apple a lesson. What lesson? Maybe "Don't say you're going to sell something and then completely ignore it for months without explaining"

Now, not to go on my third rant of the day, but those facebook page like sites are so anoyying! Why can't people just like them the regular way?

Anyways, I saw the page: "Dear students, I know when you're texting. Seriously, no one just looks down at their crotch and smiles. Sincerely, teacher." I can think of two ways to make that better.

Cool Site Scroll Feature

While I was on PhotoJoJo looking at these camera lens bracelets (http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/lens-bracelets/), I saw the ever so tempting "Do not pull" sign on their site. So of course, risking viruses and a BSOD (even though i'm on linux - you never know) I pulled the lever. It turned out to be a quick link to the description, assisted by a hand. Mini Weekly Rant: iOS 4.2.1

Is Apple addicted to some narcotic? Lately, we've seen speed issues, refusal to put flash on their devices, PDF exploits, law suits, delayed OS releases due to bugs, and now they skip an OS without public release of the first? I think i'm going to start teasing that i'm going to Android.

Airplanes and Airports

I see thousands of bees safely landing a plane with knocked out pilots.

What is it? A ton of birds swarming a Navy plane. Are they maybe saying a message? Perhaps: "Stay out of the air, that's our thing!"?


In other Aviation news, the same airport that recently leaked images of people in the body scanner, Orlando Sanford Airport, has now thrown out the TSA and replaced them with private security.

iPhone 4 Case With Attatched Keyboard

Finially! Just what I don't need!

I can type just fine, faster then on a computer in fact, on an iPhone. To make it better, it costs $70. A pretty good innovation for people who never got an iPhone and perhaps went to Android for it's real keyboard option. But for me, $70 I don't want to waste. I have to give them a pat on the back though, for it seems quite slim.

Weekly Rant: Commercials

Now, everyone hates commercials.
Kids seem to be the only ones who enjoy them -> Directly making parents cringe.

The latest commercial to baffle me was a Ford commercial. They were advertising a high RE-sale value against other cars. Doesnt that mean you are going to end up returning it? Hello!

If you are going to force people to watch ads, at least make it entertaining! Example: A new commercial shows a car doing 360's around a Christmas tree while wrapping the tree with lights. However, that is NOT going to make me instantly go out to buy the car!

Plus, to make it all better, ad-targeting based on the show you're watching is a flat out joke! I was in the room while someone was watching the show Jersey Shore (Don't make me do a weekly rant on that too....) and an ad came on for "The best pregnancy test!" Seriously?!

That's it, i'm done.....

Touchpad App Review

I bought this app a while back. I got it mostly to control my computer while watching southpark episodes from across the room as well as controlling itunes at the same time.

However, recently, due to a mishap with a keyboard on one of the main computers in my house, this app has been my virtual keyboard.

So far, it's been a life saver. No longer will I have to use the virtual keyboard that you have to manually click each key. On an iPhone, which I type fast on anyway, I can actually write things with ease.

The only other feature I have become accustomed to is the dark theme, while saving battery, it appeals to my style.

Weekly Rant: Bon, Bon by Pitbull

Is this guy serious? He's Spanish-American. That song is Italian-American. His random blurts of Spanish in all of his popular songs clearly should not fit here. The song was already massacred in the last remix with a beat that made no musical sense.

It is clear that some songs do NOT deserve to be remixed after already being remixed, and this is one of them.

Lego MP3 Player Review

This MP3 Player, shown in the picture, is not the same as the one that I am holding. The UI is much better in the picture. The one I have is easily the worst UI I have ever seen on any device. The menu is 3 simple icons and the music player is just the album and song name. Not the friendliest for kids in my opinion.

After receiving a free sample of this  product, I couldn't find a use for it. While on my desk, I remembered a young child once drew all over it. I had been so accustomed to it, I didn't realize it. Finally, I realized and began smearing it on my desk with a cotton swab then moving on to a paper towel. My final result:

Ever since I realized there is tons of free stuff just waiting for you to snatch online, I have searched for the best site to harbor my new addiction.

hunt4freebies.com is what I found to be the best.
I feel they are the quickest on the dime, especially because of their facebook page, yet I still search for something better (with no luck as of yet)
