The amount of sites who stalk you is increasingly scary...

If you use Google Chrome, which is the best browser in case you live in a hole, you can block all of these scary sites yearning for information on you:

Here is a perfect example: Gizmodo.com. Innocent right? I have seen up to 17 trackers. In this image, it only found 10.

Edit: Another site shows 30 trackers!

In the extension's description, it shows an image with 21 trackers.

  1. What about the data that Chrome itself takes from you. BTW, I'm not an IE fan, but I feel it's fair to mention that Microsoft had a feature like this built into IE itself for a while now (it's called InPrivate Filtering). So it's not only Chrome that can do this.

  2. Yes but you have to realize, this add-on is showing you on each site you visit. Not behind your back.

  3. @Jcoinster: True. I only tried it once, and I only got an aggregate list of everything blocked, and that was only by pulling it up in the settings. I'm not sure if it's different now. I haven't bothered to try IE in a while.
